Our vision and values
Our goal for our teens classes is not to create the best CrossFit athlete. We want to use CrossFit to help get (or keep) the teens conditioned to help them excel at their chosen sport/ recreational activities. We encourage our teens to try new things and have fun!
CrossFit Teens incorporates gymnastics, weightlifting (scaled accordingly – starting with a PVC bar) and metabolic conditioning. We will focus on 3 fundamental aspects of functional movement – biomechanics, consistency in execution, and intensity.
WE WILL DEVELOP YOUR TEEN’S TEN GENERAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
With athletes training for a sport, our workouts are constantly done at “game speed” which train your athletes body to always be prepared for high intensity, essentially giving them the overall edge come game time!
Weightlifting will aid bone density development and take advantage of the window of opportunity for peak development in both children and teens.
Gymnastics will aid your child’s development by involving the vestibular system, which is important for young athletes to determine where their body is positioned in space.
